Marcos Martial Law Never Again, an anti-Marcos book written by
Filipina author Raissa Robles, was not allowed to be published and distributed in US
following several serious issues with the book.
Hawaii Association of Book Publishers and Authors (HABPA),
submitted a petition to the high court on February 27, banning the book because
it contains serious and unproven accusations against the former president.
Hawaii’s Supreme Court released its decision on June 13, banning
the book inside Hawaii. The decision was carried over by the remaining US
states and 17 other countries.

Israel’s Ministry of Public Affairs says the book promotes too
much hatred and violence, and should be banned in all countries.
“The book lacks substance and research. It should not be allowed
in any school with students who are not familiar with the Philippine justice
system. This could only influence people to hate the government”, a statemen from
Israel’s Ministry of Public Affairs said.
The controversial book was written by one of harshest Marcos’
critics, and was distributed by Senator Riza Hontiveros to several schools in
Metro Manila last year. /Frank Semillano/
