05/12/2015 - Manila | In 4chan.org, a photo of North Korean leader Kim Jung-un with Chinese character caption went viral shortly after another user translated the characters into English.

The photo, with Jung-un wearing his usual black suit was deleted after negative comments started to pour several hours after the translation went on-line.

The photo has something to do with Filipina singer Charice Pempengco. The translated caption says “Kim wanted to let it go, inspired by Charice and her masculine looks”.

According to the user’s blog, Kim Jung-un received a compilation of Youtube live singing videos and Charice’s “Let It Go” which she performed in ABS-CBN’s ASAP sometime ago was included in the compilation.

The user’s blog says Kim watched the performance repeatedly and was really inspired by her, especially after he learned that the singer had courage in telling the people about her gender identity.

Youtube and other major American websites are banned in North Korea and only government officials and rich residents have Internet access. Most people don’t even have television and other appliances according to report.

Some of Charice’s fans believed that the artist lost her identity when she decided to change her appearance and admit that she is a lesbian.

The singer is expected to perform on May 15 during the awarding ceremony of Asia’s Got Talent. She is also expected to reunite with her former mentor and godfather David Foster, one of AGT’s four judges.

  1. If that's true then it would be really amazing... then Mr. Kim would have likely become a Charice fan. :D
