Indian Salesman Jailed after Filming Pinay in Bathroom

02/08/2015 - UAE | A United Arab Emirates court on Sunday sentenced an Indian salesman to six months in prison for filming a Filipina designer while she was using the restroom, a UAE news site reported.

 

The Arab court did not disclose both names to protect eac individual’s privacy but the victim was assured that the suspect will pay the price.

The incident involving the Indian salesman, 23, and the Filipina designer, 32, occurred in a government building in August last year, UAE news site Gulf News reported. It is normal for the UAE court to release the news later after everything is settled.

Report said, prosecutors charged the Indian national with molesting the Filipina woman and vreaching her privacy and modesty when he filmed him naked while using the woman-only restroom in her workplace. The woman told the police that she was changing clothes after work.

“I went to the washroom, removed my clothes. I was on the toilet seat when I noticed a mobile phone camera from behind one of the cubicles. I stared at it and realized that the phone’s camera was on and someone was filming me," she said.

She said she shouted and rushed out, then waited outside the ladies' room until the salesman came out. "I called the security guards who stopped the defendant until the police came and arrested him,” she said.

The Indian national pleased guilty and told authorities that he filmed her for nearly fifteen minutes while she was naked.

The suspect will stay in jail for six months, report said.

Violence against women is rampant involving OFW's especially in middle east. Rape cases and violence against women in India is in the highest level according to World Bank.
