Highly Cited: Gary Alejano barred from entering Fernando Air Base

Magdalo Party List Representative and former rebel Gary Alejano, has reportedly prohibited from entering Fernando Air Base in Lipa City, on Thursday, Batangas City local media said.

There was no detailed information why Alejano and his two companions visited Lipa, but a local source who work in a firing range in Lipa City said, the three entered the firing range and left after

more than two hours.

A reputable source inside the air base said, Alejano went on to visit a friend who is an air force major, but the military police officers on duty at the gate did not allow the three to enter the base when their subject was not available.

The source also said that none of the five military police officers on duty was able to identify Gary Alejano.

Alejano is a former marine captain when he joined the Magdalo to seize Okwood hotel.

The former military officer is also a staunch Duterte critic, and since he is no longer attached to military, the guards might have considered him a threat.

Fernando Air Base is  is the site of the Philippine Air Force's (PAF) pilot training and education facilities located in the city of Lipa, Batangas, Philippines.

It is named after Lieutenant Colonel Basilio Fernando, who had died during an airplane training accident in the US.(one of the pioneers of the Philippine aviation) It is also the location of PAF Air Education and Training Command of Philippine Air Force.

The source said Alejano’s group left peacefully and did not insist to enter after the guards told them politely that their subject was not available inside. /Marites De Castro/
