Dionisia
Pacquiao, the house wife-turned-celebrity mother of Pambansang Kamao Manny
Pacquiao, has sold more than a dozen jewelries and signature bags in an effort
to raise funds for Marawi victims, a relative close to the Pacquiao’s told
Pinoy Pride on Friday.
The
source said Mommy Dionisia sold her collection of bags to rich women in
Sarangani, raising at least P1.3 million.
Her
jewelries, which include 3 necklaces, 3 bracelets, 5 watches, and several rings
and earrings worth more than 3 million pesos – all taken by only one buyer from
Davao City.
Most
of her bags were given by her son Manny as pasalubong whenever the later went
to other countries.
When
asked why she sold her precious things instead of spending her cash, Dionisia
said she is already old and have no time to use the bags and jewelries, so it’s
better to sell and help other people.
There
will be no one to inherit the precious collection as well, as her daughter
Isidra is not interested to own the collection.
Dionisia is making millions in commercials and
also a top taxpayer, giving back more than P1M of tax money to the government
every year.
Manny,
Dionisia’s son is also set to donate his earnings from fight with Jeff Horn
this coming July. /Levi Tanpinco/
